Christ Focused

I want to encourage each of you today to not give up or be weary, to not lose heart or feel that your efforts are a waste of time.  Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (do not lose heart)." At the last day the Master will say Well Done. Come!

Jesus says not to worry about our lives and such things as food and clothing. Rather, seek first God’s kingdom and lay up treasure in heaven. Are you giving God's Kingdom and Righteousness priority in your life?

When Matthew, a new disciple of Jesus, put on a dinner for the Master, he invited his friends who were all tax gatherers and sinners. The religious leaders of Jesus’s day criticized Jesus for associating with these sinners. Jesus answered that sinners need compassion and a physician.

Jesus says something quite astounding in Matthew 7:21-27: Many people call him Lord, but he doesn't know them and calls them workers of iniquity. In this lesson, we examine the Lord's response to the many who call him Lord, yet do not obey him.

The parable of the two gates pictures the people of Earth walking on two roads. One road is broad, and many walk that way. The other road is narrow, and few find the gate to it. Most importantly, these two roads don't lead to the same place

Jesus chided the religious leaders of his day that they couldn't read the signs of the times in (Matthew 16:1-4). In this lesson, we discuss the current state of our world and the coming storms that try to beset the Christian.  So, with this in mind I ask you can you read the signs of the times?

In our previous lesson we presented the first three of the seven ways in which we should view ourselves in the light of God’s great mercy and kindness toward us. This lesson continues on from the previous lesson, to look at four more things Peter tells us about ourselves so that we can form a right self-image.

In 1Peter Chapter 1 the Apostle Peter gives seven examples of how God treats us right, and seven examples of how we rightly respond to him. Now, in this lesson, we start looking at seven ways in which we should view ourselves in the light of what we have already learned. A true self-image is necessary to right living.
