²³ But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness. ²⁴ But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (1Cor. 1:23-24)

Jesus Christ does many wonderful things for us. Here are six of them to think about. To help you remember them, they make an acrostic on the word CHRIST.

Perhaps the most fundamental religious question is, "Who can answer my religious questions?" We need someone to be our Answer, someone to satisfy our quest for religious truth. Jesus the Son of God came into the world for that reason.

In Paul's letter to the Colossians, certain things are said about the all-sufficiency of Jesus Christ. These statements tie in well with John's first chapter. We want to look at six claims about Jesus that Paul reveals in his letter to the Colossians

There is a Kingdom coming. A kingdom without end. Jesus said at his trial, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” (John 18:36)

In this Mother's Day lesson, we consider how Mary was a virtuous woman, a victim of the law, and has been revered through the centuries. The Bible doesn't say much about Mary, the mother of Jesus. But the few things that are said show her to be an example of motherhood in three significant ways.

God’s standard of perfect righteousness cannot be lowered. So how can we be made acceptable to him? God will accept a sacrifice that covers our shortfall. The sacrifice has to be sufficient. It won't do if the sacrifice also falls short of God’s standard. 

Jesus says that he is going back to heaven to prepare a place for his disciples; and that he will come back again to take them there. This promise from our Lord gives us hope as we traverse the roads of this life and await the fulfillment of his promise.

Jesus wants us to evaluate both sides of the spiritual ledger and "count the cost" of the commitment necessary to follow him and the loss suffered if we refuse to follow him. In this lesson, we consider 7 things that we all should evaluate and calculate the value of. Our eternity is at stake!
