Today we continue to think about the seven great foundation changes that Christ made. In this lesson, we give special attention to the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made by suffering death on the cross, and his victorious resurrection on the third day.

One word that characterizes the Last Days is CHANGE. In this lesson, we are thinking about seven great foundation changes that took place centuries ago when Christ died.

Paul said, "Be diligent to present yourself approved before God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2Timothy 2:15). This "rightly dividing" includes TIME.

In this lesson, we learn that the new covenant of Christ is treated as a testament or will. There are two “musts” here: First, a will must be made while the testator lives. Second, the testator must be dead for the will to be in force. According to the Hebrew writer, this is parallel with what Jesus did as a testator of the new covenant. He made his will before his death, and when he died it came into force. 

In this lesson, we consider the question: Why is the New Covenant Better? There are 3 answers to this question which are: Better Promises, Better Blood, and a Better Mediator.

The ten commandments, written on stone tablets, were part of the law given to Moses. It is commonly believed that these ten commandments were also incorporated, word for word, into the new covenant of Christ. However, this is contradicted by the New Testament scriptures.

In this lesson, we consider the question: Why was the New Covenant Needed? "Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry because he is the mediator of a better covenant, which is based on better promises.” (Hebrews 8:6-8). We’re going to look at five reasons we have outlined, which answer the question: Why was the new covenant needed?
