Why do we pray? Prayer is one of the most essential weapons in the life of a believer in Jesus Christ. Even our Lord prayed to the Father constantly, and He is our perfect example as we live out our lives here on earth. Prayer is our communication line to God. It cannot be stressed more just how much we need to be in a constant state of prayer, especially when we consider the evil that surrounds us in this world. As God's children let us pray to the Lord constantly. Let us pray for our families and loved ones. Let us pray for our nation. Let us pray for the lost. Let us pray for this world. 

What will you do with Jesus? This is the most important question that you will ever be asked to answer. In this lesson, we look at the trial of Jesus as he stood before Pontius Pilate. We examine the question and several responses to it. But even after nearly 2 thousand years, this question is still before us. You and I will answer this question. This is a personal question.

The Year of Jubilee. A time of freedom. The time of the horn blast. A time when all debts are forgiven, and rejoicing and celebration ensue. This is what our Lord ushered in for us when He came into this world and died for our sins. In his death burial and resurrection, Jesus ushered in the time of God's free grace. The acceptable year of the Lord is now. We all can have our sin debt paid in full and be released from the bondage of sin and rejoice in the presence of Almighty God because of the sacrificial offering of His son. This is the Acceptable year of the Lord!

Indeed we are living in the last time. Our world is full of turmoil and grows increasingly violent with each passing year. The Apostle Paul warned Timothy that in the last days perilous times would come. The question: What do these times consist of? In this lesson, we discover how demonic activity could be at the very core of the issues that plague our world in these last days. These are the perilous times.

So many times we feel as though we are not ready to be used by God. But when are we ever ready? When does the time of ready begin? We must realize that the Lord can use us where we are right now. If we could ready ourselves then we would have no use for Him. God uses broken vessels like you and me to do great exploits in the earth and to bring Him glory!

Sometimes as we walk this Christian journey we may feel that the walls are closing in on us. Sometimes it may seem as if the enemy has us cornered, outnumbered, and surrounded. But we need to remember that we serve the Lord God of Host. Our God commands an angelic host that are present to do God's bidding on our behalf. So, no matter what your situation looks or feels like, God with us is always more than those against us.

The Apostle Peter exhorts us to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by adding to our faith. This is all made possible because of the divine nature and ability that has been imparted to us through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in each of us as children of God. 

So many people in the world whether believers or not judge and measure themselves by the standards of this world. When you look into the mirror what do you see reflected back at you? Are you happy with what you see? God's Word is like a mirror. However, God's word shows us more about ourselves than a natural mirror. I challenge you in this lesson to look with me into the mirror of God's word to discover your true identity.
