In this lesson, we focus on Paul’s “description” of the church which picture it from different viewpoints. These perspectives help us to understand the importance of the church, the blessings of membership in it, and why it is one of the five priceless things.

We come now to the third Priceless Thing to Consider in Ephesians 2, the Cross of Christ. The Cross of Jesus Christ is the central symbol of Christianity, signifying Jesus' sacrificial death for the redemption of humanity.

This lesson continues to look at the second priceless thing in Ephesians 2, the Priceless Covenant legislated by Jesus Christ and ratified by his blood. This covenant is the constitution of the church of Christ. In this lesson we see it as a uniting and reconciling covenant whose author and mediator is Christ.

Thank God that, although we became dead in sin, God made it possible for us to be "raised up" created anew in Christ (Ephesians 2:5-6,10). This is the final and main point of our study about the Priceless Creation. 

We are thinking in this lesson about how God gives new life to our souls through Christ. The Bible speaks of this as a new creation, a new birth, or a resurrection. What happens to our souls at conversion is certainly marvelous.

Before we look at each of these particulars (5 Priceless Things), in this first lesson we will take a general look at Ephesians Chapter 2, to give us some background for the rest of our study.

It is challenging to envision what life might have been like before sin entered the world. When God created Adam and Eve, He intended for them to inhabit a perfect world eternally—a world devoid of death, illness, conflict, or any kind of evil.
